Wen Ling accepted Gu Jingxing's father's invitation to become president of Shang Hengxing in order to find evidence against Gu Jingxing, the man who killed her parents. Unexpectedly, Gu Jingxing's father imposed an additional condition: she must raise his younger son, Gu Shixiao, who behaved like a vicious dog, into a proper adult. After agreeing, Wen Ling discovered Gu Shixiao was an extremely difficult man to deal with. The two frequently clashed, their tensions running high.
